The day opened another chapter in the Finrostra –Finance Club of Gnanam School of Business, Thanjavur. The day witnessed the annual launch of 2011-2012 activities of the club. The chief guest of the day was a high profiled personality Mr.T.S.Vinay Kumar, Vice President HDFC Bank. He installed the new office bearers for the next academic year. He spoke on the various aspects of banking and its role in the economy. He also spoke on the career roles in banking. Finrostrains clarified their doubts on the various operational aspects in banking. Finrostra club is running a virtual bank in the name of Bank of Finrostra. Today, it was inaugurated by the chief guest. The bank was pilot run in the campus. This bank was made to bridge the immediate financial needs of the students and for learning the banking operations practically. The office bearers of Bank of Finrostra were also installed today. The Finrostra team came up with a book and a CD on Banking in India. The book as well as CD was released by the chief guest. The CEO of the Gnanam School of Business (GSB) Mr.S.P.S.Arul Doss presided over the function. He distributed prize for the financial quiz winner’s. The annual report of the club was read out to the audience by the club Secretary. The GSBians and Finrostrians took oath for being members of the club and to show their interest in the club. The club report also highlighted on the future plans of the club. The club bylaws and bank bylaws were readout in the function. The day was very informative as well as feather in the crown of Finrostra.
