Gnanam School of Business (GSB), Thanjavur organized a Power Talk. The resource person was Brother Jacob Mathew Ezhanikatt of the Montfort College, Bangalore. Brother Jacob who travells all around the world, teaching students about Psychology.
He is proficient in seven languages. When we asked about his home town he simply smiled and answered “I am a man of the world” .The Power Talk was scheduled for two days. He started by describing, MBA students as “people oriented individuals and not money making people”. He kept the students interested by showering words of praise about our thirst for knowledge and our keen interest in learning. He also mentioned about the mind blowing ambience & the infrastructure of GSB with all the facilities available to the students.
He started by giving talks on the topic “how to become better individuals”. According to him, we all are God’s children and our parents are just guardians, each and every person in the world is God’s Prince and Princess. With number of experiments and examples, he explained about building the character of an individual, gets shaped in the womb and also about the value of women in the society.
Lord Buddha said “All that we have is the result of what we have thought”. A movie was shown to us about the Power of Thought and the impact it could have in our lives. It showed us clearly the need to have positive thoughts and to avoid the negatives.
The best part of the talk was the afternoon session on Day 2 that created a feel of Meditation & it’s effectiveness. The gathering was filled with excitement it envisaged the secret of Meditation and Peace. The talk can be explained as an intense spiritual experience and there was a positive aura in everyone’s face. It was once in a lifetime opportunity and every second was memorable.
