A Power Talk on the topic “Macro Economic Indicators” was conducted at GSB on 05th October 2013 for the 1st year MBA students between 2.00 p.m and 4 p.m by Mr. R.T. Sivasubramaniyam, Associate Director, CRISIL Ltd.
The Resource Person explained the Inventory Levels, Manufacturing Activity, Retail Sales, Building permits, Housing Market and Level of New Business Startups.
In addition to that he explained clearly what happends in past 10 years and current status of macro economy indicators in India with reference to countries such as USA, Japan, and China.
Lagging Indicators: Changes in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Income and Wages, Unemployment Rate, Consumer Price Index (Inflation), Currency Strength, Interest Rates, Corporate Profits, Balance of Trade. At the end of the session he clarified the student’s queries in an effective manner.
Thus, the Students of GSB had yet another day of learning the concepts in a practical and lucid manner.
