Powertalk on the topic "Case study Methodology"

A Power Talk on the topic "Case study Methodology" was conducted at GSB on 27th September 2013 for the I year MBA students between 9 AM and 4 PM by Prof. Dr. R. Krishnamoorthy, Corporate Trainer, Coimbatore.

The resource Person explained the steps on analyzing a case study and how to bring out solutions for it. He also added that reading the case study thoroughly and understanding it would help the reader to know what the problem or issue is about.

He emphasized that jotting down the available data in the case study with respect to the analysis is necessary and the analysis may result in various alternatives of solutions. These solutions have to be taken up for discussion and evaluated under various criteria.The best alternative should be selected which would end up the case with necessary and effective solution.

To make the students experience the case study methodology of teaching, the resource person had given them a case study from Harvard Business Review.

The students brought out the possible solutions with the help of the resource person and they were able to fine tune the best possible solution.

Thus, the Students of GSB had yet another day of learning the concepts in a practical and lucid manner.
